Devoted to Protection™ Sweepstakes

The 1972 Ford Mustang was selected as a powerful symbol of the American muscle car era. AMSOIL has partnered with Gizmo’s Hot Rods to refine this classic vehicle front-to-rear. The fastback with ram air hood features positraction rear-wheel drive, a three-speed automatic transmission, a modified 351 Cleveland engine that makes 425 hp and 450 ft.-lbs. torque, Wilwood drilled and slotted four-piston brakes, Afco double-adjustable billet shocks, upgraded suspension and steering components and hand-built ceramic-coated Mandrel bent exhaust. In addition to the upgraded fuel system to accommodate the new engine, the ’72 ‘Stang will be protected with AMSOIL fluids and lubricants from bumper-to-bumper.

I owned a 71 Mach 1 Mustang which was just like the Mach 1 in Diamonds are Forever. I had to sell the car unfortunately. Wish I never parted with the car. It had a Pantera engine in it, C6, and ram air. It ran very well, unfortunately my only memory left is a VHS video of the car.

Before the AMSOIL Mach 1 I hadn't paid much attention to the 71-73 Mustangs, now I have been obsessing about this one since I first saw it. Seems as though Gizmos had the right philosophy when they approached this project, it makes really good power and looks to be thoughtfully upgraded with quality parts. This pro-tourer would make a lot of car shows and cruise-ins with me.

I know these cars are rare as i owned a 71 coupe Grande and I had to sell it do to health and financial issues and I now have a 14 year old son turning 15 in 2 weeks,he was able to point out all brands of muscle cars before he turned 10 and i told him 71-73 Mustangs had some very rare engines and were always coolest in my Highschool days. WE have never found a decent one within reason for him to get the muscle car bug.I would have my garage ready in minutes to have a fastback like this one so my son can go and show what stangs are about. Thanks for the oppertunity to win one.
